The Iban Parang
Designed by Perry McGee for use in the deep jungle environment or difficult tracking terrain, the Iban Parang leaves the user in no doubt of its impressiveness. The original concept was adapted by Perry and the National Tracking School whilst tracking in Borneo and is an essential tool for the specialist, expeditionary, or for outdoor use in difficult terrain. Manufactured by the legendary Scorpion knives of Sheffield UK, the Iban Parang allows the user a strong practical and extended use or sweep. The extended blade which is individually made and has a hand ground edge that affords a high standard of sharpness. Individual identification numbers and logos are embossed onto the outer Du Pont tephlon coating, specifically coated in order to prevent rusting in humid or damp environments.
DetailsThe handle retains much of the Iban ancestry and allows the user easy grip, non-slip, two handed chopping and cutting ability. Presented with an impressive waterproof and sturdy Cordura sheath, Perry’s Iban Pathfinder is an impressive tool owing respect to the peoples and tribes of Borneo.
